County Championships

One of the highest accolades in Crown Green Bowls is to be selected to play for your County. The BCGBA County Championship matches provide the toughest environment to play our game. A partisan crowd that will let you know just how well you’re playing, or not, as the case may be. You haven’t fully experienced our game until you’ve watched a ‘County Match’.

Club Championships

The British Crown Green Club Team Championships kick start the season, both normally beginning in late March. The top club teams from each county from the previous season battle on neutral venues to the ultimate national ‘Club Team Champion’.

Individual Merits

The British Crown Green Individual Merit Trophies have qualifying events in every one of its affiliate counties. Like the ‘Open’ in the world of Golf, anyone can enter the Individual Merit, battle through the heats and become the Individual Champion of the year. 

Champion Of Champions

The most prestigious events of the British Crown Green calendar. It’s an achievement to simply qualify for the BCGBA Champion of Champions weekend. If you don’t, it’s an amazing watch. The cream of the crop battle it out to be the ultimate champion of the season.

Pairs Competitions

The British Crown Green Bowling Association run two annual doubles competitions, both have qualifying events within each affiliate county. Click below for more details on both.

Mixed / Open

The British Crown Green Bowling Association run two additional Open Competitions, both with limiting factors for entry. The 18-25 Competition is designed for those leaving the Junior ranks, while the new Beginners Competition is for those who just found Crown Green.
